Festive fun for Soda
For Christmas 2011 we wanted to design a Christmas card that really showcased our creativity. We have sent HTML emails and charity cards in the past, but this year we really wanted to push the boundaries.
We came up with the idea of die-cutting a Christmas tree shape out of recycled card and creating festive badges to pin to the card as baubles. We enlisted the help of our friendly printer who came up trumps with the materials and, with much excitement, awaited the arrival of our shiny new badge making machine. The machine arrived and our excitement quickly faded as we realised we faced the prospect of making over 800 badges in just two days. However, we quickly set up an efficient production line and our cards were ready in no time.
The cards provoked a great response from our clients; they were tweeted and re-tweeted, we were asked for additional badges and sent pictures of people wearing them. It would seem our first foray into badge-making was a festive success.
